POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Bed Coordinator, Patient Placement & Progression. In this role, the successful candidate Acts as the primary facilitator of all patient transfers into NYU Langone Health facilities from outside hospitals, as well as all inter-facility patient transfers and direct admissions within the NYU Langone Health, based on an established set of scripts and algorithms, in accordance with department protocols, policies, and procedures.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an AACN accredited nursing program. Active Licensure as a Registered nurse in the State of New York. Minimum 3+ years years acute care nursing experience. Must be positive, dependable, and have a demonstrated ability to work in collaborate, team-based work environment. Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle & prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective problem solving, issue resolution, negotiation & conflict management skills. Exemplary interpersonal & communication (oral and written) skills. Physical stamina, manual dexterity, visual & aural acuity to perform responsibilities. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN), health-related field (MHA, MPA, MPH) or business administration (MBA) . Emergency Department, Triage, and/or Critical Care nursing experience (strongly preferred). Experience/familiarity utilizing Epic or similar Electronic Health Record. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $85,562.10 - $113,300.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
