    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Operations Manager.

    The Operations Manager is responsible for logistics and project management between clinical departments, Facilities Operations and Project Management.
    Supervise up to four logistics managers. Acting manager for various trade departments (shops) as assigned and maintaining all relevant documentation for authorities having jurisdiction including TJC, CBS, DOB, FDNY, etc. Also responsible for managing outsourced contracts as assigned and assist in managing off-site properties in conjunction with other Facilities Operations managers.

    Job Responsibilities:

    * **Logistic Support/Project Management** – Manager and/or coordinate maintenance and construction activities between Facilities Operations, Project Management and Clinical Departments (e.g., room renovations, nursing unit repairs, upgrades, etc.). Oversees all aspects of facilities related projects as requested by Director of Engineering. As needed, reviews planned drawings/specifications prior to design acceptance and bid. Reviews value engineering plans and revision. Functions as field inspector of new installation. Updates Director of Engineering and shop/operations managers of all pertinent information.
    * **Offsite and Science/Education/Administration Properties** – Assist, as needed, other managers providing maintenance, operations and repairs management services for the select off-campus properties.
    * **Regulatory Compliance –** Assist the Director of Engineering and other operations/shop managers to maintain survey readiness at all times. Performs with other Logistics Managers, Environment of Care (EC) and Life Safety (LS) rounds. Coordinate EC and LS rounds with shops (as needed) and arrange for corrective actions. Assist in preparation and maintain authority having jurisdiction documentation for survey readiness including maintenance policies/procedures, plan for improvements and the statement of conditions.
    * **Contract Management** \- Direct, track and evaluate performance of various services contractors as assigned by the Director of Engineering, such as nurse call systems, window treatment/systems, specific trade contractors such as carpenters, painters, etc. and others as assigned.
    * **Maintenance Shops** – Assist trade shop managers to maintain all aspects of maintenance operations. Assume weekend/on-call duties and acting manager responsibilities as needed. Order materials necessary to support shop functions. Perform routine field inspections and correct noted deficiencies. Coordinate utility/systems shutdowns in support of construction projects and infrastructure repair. Principal liaison between clinical departments, Facilities Operations, and Construction departments to coordinate maintenance and construction activities.
    * Supervise up to four logistics managers.
    * Perform other duties as assigned
    

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Technical Bachelors degree (Engineering, Science or Facilities Management)
    • 2 years of union trade supervision or 5-10 years of extensive general facilities experience and strong knowledge of building codes desired.
    • Management related experience or equivalent work experience in field of facilities management is required
    • Familiarity with all types of mechanical electrical, plumbing systems, building automation systems, energy conservation programs, utility distribution and management/supervision in a union shop environment is required
    • Must possess the ability to function in stressful situations and respond to emergency conditions.
    • Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $97,589.96 - $156,718.80 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
