POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Physical Therapy Assistant(40). In this role, the successful candidate Physical Therapy Assistant works under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide appropriate functional and clinical treatments for assigned patients in a supervised program of rehabilitation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• . Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
• Patient preparation for Physical Therapy Treatment
• Application of Cold and/or Heat Modalities.
• Application of Therapeutic Exercises and Functional Activities.
• Documentation of all patient care related activities under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Involvement in Clinical Education within the Physical Therapy Department.
• Assists in the administration of testing procedures.
• Maintenance of supplies, equipment, and assistive devices.

ADDITIONAL POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Familiarity with working with orthopedic and neurological patient populations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a Associates degree from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program plus certification by New York State as a Physical Therapy Assistant required; Excellent communication skills; Basic cardiopulmonary life support certification (BCLS certification). REQUIRED LICENSES: Certified Pt Assistant - NYS
