Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Clinical Value Analyst.
In this role, the successful candidate as the Senior Clinical Value Analyst has overall responsibility to advance the effectiveness of the Value Analysis process and provide clinical context throughout cross functional committees. This role will support the Value Analysis Team make informed decisions on new products that will improve quality, outcomes and cost, across the NYU Langone system. This role will with a focus on data collection, analytics and presentation. This role will support all NYU Langone campuses and NYU Langone Health Care Systems Hospitals and Clinics.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provide clinical and strategic expertise that facilitates supply expense management while continuously improving all processes that support patient care, education, and research.
* Previous background in nursing informatics is preferred to help support analytical and quantitative work of the VA team including data gathering, organization, assessment, reporting, and presentation
* Participate in the value analysis process to provide high quality, efficient, and cost-effective products and services.
* Achieve supply expense management initiatives and targets utilizing the value analysis process.
* Organize and provide support during evaluation of products, technologies, services, and processes that have been approved through the value analysis process to determine if the expected outcomes were obtained
* Works with other VA Clinical RNs to develop quality and outcomes related metrics associated with supply chain initiatives; using data and key performance indicators to drive supply related decisions; conduct root cause investigations and auditing surrounding product quality concerns and develops possible solutions to resolve any related issues.
* Meet regularly with physicians, nursing leaders, and others stakeholders to understand clinical practice changes, hospital quality metrics, targets and opportunities for performance improvement across the health system
* Partner with other Supply Chain Management teams when clinical review is needed for manage product issues, backorders, and safety recalls.
* Remains current on new value analysis trends, tools and best practices and communicates those to leadership teams
* Effective communication skills both in written and verbal presentation with a communication style that is open and fosters trust, credibility and understanding
* Participate and complete special projects as needed
* Help develop and adherence to a streamlined method for standardizing and monitoring product/service selection, utilization, and costs.
* Develop and model positive relationships, effective communication and high quality work products and presentations
* Facilitates ideas and suggestions to support product selection and vendor decisions
* Ability to conduct in depth product presentations in a variety of settings
Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
Demonstrated problem-resolution skills. Understands inter-workings of hospital operations and supply chain activities. Ability to interact and manage relationships with vendors. Interest in data analytics and correlation to quality metrics.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Required Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a minimum of 5 years in a clinical/ progressively more responsible role in a diverse and operationally complex health care environment. Current RN License preferred.
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to drive consensus. Computer competency Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. Strong communication skills which will encompass both oral and written including the ability to give presentations to physicians, clinicians, and administrators.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $76,721.84 - $125,033.95 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
