    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Research Intern.

    The Section for Health Equity at NYU Grossman School of Medicine's Department of Population Health is looking to hire a per diem student research intern. The research intern will work on a foundation grant-funded, community-engaged project aiming to promote HPV vaccination in immigrant communities in Brooklyn (Pro-VAIYA). This position involves supporting the development of in-language campaign materials, disseminating materials through social media and community-based settings, administering participant surveys, interacting with community partners/members, and coordinating project activities with community partners.

    Job Responsibilities:

    1. Project knowledge – Demonstrate thorough knowledge of our research study, study rationale, and processes of the study. 
    2. Recruitment and outreach – Work with our clinic and community partners to outreach, screen, and recruit for the research study.
    3. Survey administration – Assist with outreach and conducting survey assessments in REDCap, including data entry/cleaning and translating as necessary. 
    4. Community engagement – Provide information about Pro-VAIYA and obtain feedback from community members, translating as necessary. 
    5. Collaboration – Engage in weekly team meetings and supervision.
    

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program. Background and/or coursework in public health or related research. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Proficiency in using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word). Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Comfortable interacting with community members both on the phone and in person. Fluency (ability to read, write, and speak) in Arabic.

    Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $16.00 - $16.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
