    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a FGP Front Dsk Spvr (37.5)-LI. In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for the oversight and direct supervision of the daily operations of administrative support functions at the practice, including but not limited to check-in, check-out, scheduling and support of all non-physician staff. Ensures daily functions are properly staffed to accommodate patient flow and that operations run smoothly throughout the day. In conjunction with the Faculty Group Practice Managers, develops policies and procedures, implements new process and monitors compliance to establish guidelines.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Act as the go-to person and oversees the day-to-day activities of non-physician staff to ensure a high level of productivity. Establishes priorities and allocates resources needed to support front end and clinical support operations. Monitors and oversees registration quality, completeness and collection of personal payment responsibilities, identifying issues and implements improvement initiatives as needed.
    • Responsible for training office personnel for front desk, reception and billing activities related to procedure intake and scheduling. Ensures appropriate cross-training and cross-coverage for all administrative activities.
    • Supervises employees including, interviewing new employee prospects and training new employees; completes non-physician performance evaluations; manages disciplinary and performance issues.
    • Assist in quality assurance as directed by Medical Director. Work with other supervisors and administrative staff to address organization wide issues, including program development, personnel policies, and employee evaluations, training needs, safety concerns and quality assurance indicators. Oversee and follow up on office-related projects to make sure they are progressing efficiently and will be completed by deadline
    • Functions as a liaison between non-physician staff and physicians to ensure effective service for patients. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with group physicians. Serves as a role model and resource person for providing quality patient care and patient information as needed.
    • Resolves all complaints and problems using independent judgment and decision making skills, to ensure patient satisfaction and adheres to faculty practice standards.
    • Determines and establishes the explanation to complex calls, issues and questions not covered by specific instructions or common practice.
    • Manages EPIC administrative inbaskets, patient escalations, patient access and waitlists.
    • Determines physical maintenance and equipment needs and repairs by coordinating internal or external resources. Resolves problems relating to the facility on a day-to-day basis. Ensures all areas are appropriately stocked and supplies are readily accessible.
    • Works with Office Management and Physicians to ensure adherence to all regulatory and HIPAA guidelines.
    • Enforce all office policies and procedures. Specifically track issues related to attendance, lateness, and behavioral patterns that require a verbal or written warning.
    • Compiles, analyzes and identifies trends in daily statistical data as requested and presents data reports monthly to appropriate parties
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of prior supervisory/management experience in the health care field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and assignments. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to display a professional demeanor, maintains confidentiality, and works independently. Ability to take initiative and exercise sound judgment, decision making and problem solving. Strong computer skills, including basic keyboarding skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proven customer service skills. Self-directed, motivated, and sensitive to deadlines. Prior experience in a medical office setting. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance, coding and billing regulation.
