    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Manager, Rehab Regulatory and Compliance.

    In this role, the successful candidate Under the direction of the Director of Rehab Regulatory and Compliance, assumes responsibility for ensuring the Rehab department is compliant with the regulatory and compliance mandates of The Joint Commission (TJC), Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid services (CMS), New York Department of Health (NYS-DOH) and other regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies pertinent to the areas of responsibilities. Further supports the department with auditing and staff education as needed.

    Job Responsibilities:

    * Development and institution of new policies and procedures.
    * Performs and participates in other duties as required.
    * Attends relevant conferences and continuing education.
    * Prepares units for survey from regulatory agencies.
    * Serves as a resource for staff with Rehab Regulatory and Compliance questions.
    * Responsible for identifying and implementing EHR Optimization.
    * Conducts walk rounds, assists tracer teams, advises on best practices, and tracks outcomes.
    * Responsible for standardization of therapy processes and documentation.
    * Responsible for tracking and reporting on quality indicators, and maintenance of Rehab Regulatory and Compliance department data.
    * Responsible for medical record review to assure compliance with TJC, CARF, and other Regulatory standards.
    * Responsible for review of billing activities, relevant reports and work queues.
    * Develops and institutes audits and assessments using criteria that track elements required by Medicare and other key stakeholders specific to Rehabilitation.
    * Incident report review, action plan development and follow ups.
    * Educates personnel regarding existing and new laws and regulations. Develops and maintains resource materials ensuring availability to all staff.
    

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a Masters degree in a healthcare related field plus minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in a rehabilitation setting. Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of management across all functional areas.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Progressive supervisory experience, strong clinical background

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $125,000 - $150,000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
