POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a UX User Designer. In this role, the successful candidate will be a member of the Patient Digital Experience team, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders, patients, and senior leadership to understand pain points and areas of improvement in the patient digital experience at NYU Langone. You will use human-centered design practices to understand our patients, generate analysis and recommendations, and contribute to the conception and implementation of experiences that improve the quality of patient care. You will dig into challenging, ambiguous problems within healthcare and identify UX opportunity areas by translating business, operational, and strategic needs into tangible experiences.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be working closely with our product managers, designers, analysts, and other key stakeholders. Your workflow will include conducting deep discovery work around problem statements, conducting user research, presenting findings, recommending solutions, and collaborating closely with the product team to iteratively implement your approved solutions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree with 3-5 years of experience in UI/UX design
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A self-starter that works well autonomously and with a team. Ability to analyze and visualize data as well as uncover gaps in current data. Ability to manage time wisely across projects and competing priorities, meet agreed-upon deadlines, and be accountable for work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in working with a cross-functional team and a large-scale agile software development lifecycle.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $73,770.80 - $74,435.60 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
