    TOPS is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician in the Pharmacy Department for PRN opportunities. The pharmacy technician will assist in preparation and labeling of medications for dispensing to patients. Deliver Pharmacist verified medications to patient care units. The technician will ensure that adequate inventory is in stock and medications are properly stored and security procedures are followed. The technician will maintain and process charges for services rendered.

    Required Skills

    Position required skills for the Pharmacy Tech include:

    • High school graduate or GED certificate recipient
    • Must have mathematical ability to calculate dosages and amounts required
    • CPhT as required by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
    • Current BLS/CPR
    • Strong ethical and moral character references
    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
    • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and the department
    • Hospital experience 2-5 years
    • Recommended Pyxis and Cerner
