    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Multimedia Designer.

     

      The Program for Medical Education & Technology is an office within the Department of Education, Faculty & Academic Affairs. The Multimedia Designer position is responsible for coordinating video/photoshoot productions as well as the designs, animations and other visualizations for the PMET program.

     

     

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs other administrative duties and assist with other projects as assigned
    • Collaborates with other groups internal and external to NYULMC as necessary
    • Attends all relevant meetings
    • Provides consultation regarding media
    • Maintain accurate archives
    • Create and maintain graphical and video workflows
    • Maintain & upgrading video/photoshoot equipment and software
    • Prepare (version control) and encode for delivery
    • Responsible for final Audio Edit
    • Responsible for all Designs and Animation of visualizations
    • Coordinate the Video/Photoshoot Post Production Process: create rough cut, complete all edits in collaboration with authors, incorporate & suggest changes
    • Coordinate the Video/Photoshoot Production Process which includes but is not limited to: Setting up equipment for the shoot, Pre-setting the Scene, Directing the shoot, Videography & Audio, completing the greenscreen
    • Coordinate the Video/Photoshoot Pre-Production Process which includes but is not limited to: Completing shoot schedules, Assigning Roles, Completing Rehearsals, Ensuring adequate and functioning equipment necessary for the shoot, assisting in actor recruitment and role training
    • Review/Edit Script and Storyboard with faculty authors adding visualizations & ensuring flow

     

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have the following skills:

    Video Production: Extended Knowledge working and teaching of HD Video Production using After Effects and Final Cut Pro. This includes filming, editing, post production and animation, including special effects, web streaming/authoring and compression. Knowledge of various compression schemes.

    Animation: 2D animation using After Effects and Flash. Illustrations skills. Knowledge of 3D (Maya or cinema 4D) is a plus.

    Web: Flash (animation and basic actionscript). HTML. Familiarity with CSS. High attention to detail and good eye for design & layout and interaction.

     

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelors Degree Experience in all aspects in non-linear editing Experience in digital design for video & web Experience in 3-point lighting systems 1-2 years experience in on set shoots.
