    POSITION SUMMARY:

     

    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Project Manager.

    NYU Langone Health has received a large award to create a model comprehensive health system in Brooklyn that not only tackles community and clinical needs, but also creates an interwoven network of care and support through which individuals and families cannot “fall.” To ensure the success and relevance of our work to communities, we will take an iterative approach to developing this new model for care. NYU Langone Health seeks candidates for a Research Project Manager position to support the evaluation and replicability components of this program. This is an interdepartmental effort that spans the Department of Population Health, Institute for Excellence in Health Equity, Medical Center IT, and NYU Brooklyn.

     

    The Research Project Manager will contribute to managing the day-to-day operations of guiding the evaluation, as well as efforts to scale the initiative more widely across NYU Langone and nationally. This position will include a combination of higher-level project management as well as opportunities to conduct mixed methods research. Project management activities will include tracking action steps, supervising meeting note takers, developing action plans, coordinating and communicating with other pillars of the project and community leaders. The Research Project Manager is also responsible for supporting the development and implementation of an evaluation framework and logic models, engaging in primary data collection and analysis (quantitative and qualitative), and writing of reports and supporting the development of scholarly manuscripts.

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Supports the development and implementation of the evaluation plan and scaling framework, as well as program logic models. • Supports development of procedures to track evaluation components. • Manages the coordination and completion of projects on time, setting deadlines, tracking responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing the progress of project. • Acts as the primary liaison and resource to other stakeholders in the project. • Coordinates evaluation activities. • Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintains them over time • Attends collaborative meetings and team meetings.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field, business, healthcare administration or a related field and 3-5 years of experience in academic or public health practice environment, or related area with demonstrated analysis and facilitation skills.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Master's Degree • Experience managing complex projects. • Experience in working on projects that involve engaging with community partners • Experience and knowledge of research IRB processes.

    (a) having been involved in conducting and analyzing qualitative research (focus groups, key informant interviewing),

    (b) managing research projects that involve many partners, especially community partners,

    (c) familiar with the research process,

    (d) experience in project coordination and working with/managing others.

    (e) Bilingual Spanish or Cantonese/Mandarin
