    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor for our Food & Nutrition department. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for providing first line supervision.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Monitors and maintains accurate portion control. Follows through on marking plans as directed by Assistant Director.
    • Supervises and schedules service employees to assigned shifts.
    • Maintains a sanitary and safe operation in accordance with HACCP, federal, state and local health regulations.
    • Conducts employee training and development programs consistent with departmental operating policies and procedures.
    • Completes quality assurance activities in accordance with NYULH and food service departmental policies and procedures.
    • Controls food service inventory, assuring stock rotation, proper storage and handling of products, safeguards food supply.
    • When applicable, insures that cash control standards are followed and met according to set policy and procedures.
    • Assures that management policies and procedures to control cost expenditures in all areas are met.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a 90-hour Food Service Certificate, Associate degree in hotel and restaurant management or comparable experience at a managerial level in either institutional or commercial food service.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science Degree
