The Senior Research Scientist will assist in the development and maintenance of analytic datasets incorporating data from multiple sources including prospective cohort study data, clinical trials, and qualitative data, to develop and implement study designs while maintaining data quality assurance procedures to ensure validity and reliability of study results. The Senior Research Scientist is critical to execute our nationally federally funded and non-sponsored qualitative research. A Senior Research Scientist that specializes in organ transplantation and social behavioral science, chronic disease will work mostly with primary data collected through large multi-site studies and clinical trials in support of NIH and DoD funded research. The Senior Research Scientist will work closely with other research team members to support the conduct of the research and train, manage, and oversee work of the Senior Research Scientist and other trainees. The Senior Research Scientist will help manage, prepare, analyze, and interpret data as well as report on analysis results to Center directors. This individual will support the PIs and Center directors in the dissemination and presentation of research at national transplant meetings.
Responsible for collaborating with Principal Investigators (PI) and working independently within the scientific framework of the PI's laboratory.
PhD and 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Substantial experience from having completed Post Doc training.
Established a record of publications.
Superior computational analysis skills.
Ability to critically analyze and present research studies to scientific audiences, including transplant professionals.
Highly specialized advanced knowledge, education and/or training in surgical or transplant research.
Experience writing and publishing scientific manuscripts

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $115,000.00-$150,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
