POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Child Life Patient Media Coordinator.
The Child Life Patient Media Coordinator manages technology resources and patient activities including broadcast programming in Skyline Studio. The child life patient media coordinator directs the strategic development and operations of patient media for therapeutic and entertainment purposes throughout children’s services. This will include oversight and logistics of current state and expansion of the closed-circuit television programming technologies, tablets, gaming and other similar technology-based units. Will work with internal and external resources on the development of quality multimedia programming with a recreational, educational and therapeutic purpose. Coordinator will also work closely with colleagues from across the Medical Centers digital wall team to fully develop the entertainment component of programming for pediatric patients.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in digital media production, broadcasting, communications, journalism or closely related field with a minimum of two years of multimedia and broadcast experience. Knowledge, and ability to effectively work with technology and direct integration into the hospital environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact and engage pediatric patients, family members, staff, and community partners.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Proficiency in radio and television broadcasting equipment and software including computer equipment, video/mixer and switchers, audio recording equipment/mixer, video cameras, lights, tripods, etc., non-linear editing and basic graphic creation. Proficiency with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and the Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with web content management systems, HTML templates, and Photoshop, MS Office proficiency including Word, Excel, Outlook. Ability to collaborate with members of a fast-paced team and work independently with minimal direction. Basic knowledge of infant, child and adolescent growth and development; strong comfort level working with children and teens. Innovative thinker with track record in content creation and project development from idea to implementation. Attention to detail and ability to execute with accuracy.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $61,479.60 - $100,700.60 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
