POSITION SUMMARY:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Laboratory Manager. The newly founded Yarmarkovich Lab (https://www.yarmarkovichlab.com/) is seeking an organized Laboratory Manager to help establish and maintain a thriving and productive lab environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the overall safety of the laboratory and is responsible for managing the daily operations of the lab. The Lab Manager takes responsibility for all aspects of the lab, including but not limited to: instrument/equipment, users of the lab, and supplies needed to ensure the lab runs smoothly. Lab manager will also assist with experiments and have the opportunity to develop independent projects. The Lab Manager will join a growing dynamic team dedicated to developing novel CAR T cell therapies. This work will build on our recent publication: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-021-04061-6 and focus on developing the next generation of immunotherapies.
The Lab Manager will have the opportunity for long term growth, scientific training, and professional development. You will join part of local and international multidisciplinary teams focused on developing the next generation of CAR T cells: Biden Cancer Moonshot, St. Baldrick-Stand Up To Cancer Pediatric Cancer Dream Team and Cancer UK Grand Challenge
Opportunities to develop independent research projects available. The Yarmarkovich Lab will be housed in the brand new state-of-the-art Cure building (https://cure.345pas.com/gallery/). Due to the startup nature of this opportunity, access to a very broad range of growth opportunities will be available. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ordering and maintaining inventory
Scheduling, organizing, and maintaining lab duties.
Scheduling, organizing, and maintaining lab duties.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Training and supervising lab assistants.
Supporting projects and conducting experiments.
Organize lab protocols and documentation
Overseeing equipment maintenance
Lab liaison
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To qualify you must have a B.S. in science field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Serving as a resource to investigators requiring support in their studies and assisting in laboratory research. Experience with project management tools and software or ability to learn software as needed. Highly motivated and a strong team player with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrates the ability to work in a fluid, complex, dynamic environment; demonstrates interpersonal flexibility and resiliency to effectively lead through complicated programs and/or issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree with over 10 years' experience or PhD Degree with experience in a drug discovery field and familiar with research.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $73,770.80 - $110,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
