    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Manager. Looking for a highly motivated Program Manager with a passion for facilitating cutting edge research and development at the intersection of healthcare and artificial intelligence to join our interdisciplinary team of research scientists, clinicians, and engineers. As a Program Manager, you will hold a key administrative role to assure the successful startup and development of the AI program. Furthermore, you will oversee the operations of research and development activities within the department. In particular, you will coordinate and facilitate intra/inter-department AI projects, create and communicate project plans and milestones, serve as a liaison with principal investigators across multiple interdisciplinary projects, research and prepare strategic materials in collaboration with the leadership, oversee educational endeavors, and help in the growth and marketing of the program. You will operate under standard regulatory procedures/protocols and ensure compliance across the board. As a Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a highly productive team and play a foundational role in creating a one-of-its-kind interdisciplinary program in the nation at the intersection of healthcare and artificial intelligence. We are especially interested in an individual who is highly collaborative, creative, organized and has excellent communication skills. The individual should be self-driven, flexible, and enthusiastic about taking on significant responsibilities that will help this program make a real-world impact by building technology to potentially save many human lives.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for the overall administrative management, operations and timely achievement of deliverables for the developing AI program
    • Ensure that program components are supported by appropriate resources (personnel, fiscal, space, equipment)Perform all HR functions including recruiting, hiring, orientating, as the program grows
    • Assures compliance with regulatory mandates of all appropriate/applicable governing bodies.Communicates new policies and procedures and regulatory changes impacting the department to all staff asappropriate.
    • Communicates information clearly, completely and professionally at all levels, tailors communications to thelistener and maintains appropriate confidentially. Responds in a timely manner. 5.     • Responsible for broad programmatic oversight, planning and management of AI related activities and events Continuously monitor programs, processes, and outcomes, instituting changes when needed in order to achieve target objectives
    • Makes good judgements which are based on gathering and analyzing factual and objective data. Is able to interpret policies/procedures in order to make sound independent decisions.

    ADDITIONAL POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in designing program strategy and objectives with the goal of making it a world-class program at the intersection of healthcare and artificial intelligence

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a Masters degree in public health, health care administration, business, education administration, science; other areas will be considered as well Attention to detail is critical Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook Effective verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills Experience in implementation of technology in a real-world setting Experience managing multiple (preferably interdisciplinary) projects at a time Thorough understanding of standard project/program management techniques and experience using project management tools Experience in coordinating people across different areas of expertise to successfully move forward the project

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Extensive (e.g., 5 years or more) experience in managing multi-site, multi-stakeholder projects Experience working in an academic research center with general familiarity of operations and internal systems Prior experience in managing projects at the intersection of healthcare and technology Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferable PhD applicants welcome with 0-2 years of experience

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $73,770.80 - $87,550.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
