POSITION SUMMARY:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate Director of Research, Integrative Health Program.
In this role, the successful candidate The Associate Director of Research is responsible for leading the research and evaluation portfolio for Lerner Program-Nursing Well-being, Integrative Health, and Health Promotion. The successful candidate will lead and guide studies examining the impact of programming on patients, staff (specific focus on nurses), caregivers, and the community. The candidate will focus on formal evaluation of projects and programs, education and professional development models, patient and workforce outcomes, and other models in the areas of Integrative Health, Health Promotion, and Workforce studies. Lead and guide nursing staff and leadership in the development of evidence-based practice; stimulating, initiating, and supporting nursing and interdisciplinary research; facilitating and coordinating studies for the Lerner Program through the IRB process; guiding nursing staff and other department staff in research activity and scientific inquiry for all sites of NYULH.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the research portfolio and program evaluation for Lerner Health Promotion, Integrative Health, and Nursing Well-being through collaboration with key stakeholders
Partner with leadership team during early stage program implementation through research/evaluation and publication of the Nursing Well-being/Resiliency/Self-Care, Health Promotion, Integrative Health, and Education programs and projects for patients, community, and workforce populations.
Articulates an understanding of the nursing process and patient care, the field of integrative health and wellbeing, and workforce research, with a focus on patient and staff outcomes.
Develops and oversee standardized program evaluations for initiatives across the enterprise
Examines the impact of the programs on the participant’s knowledge, impact on self-care, and integration into practice, and evaluate the use of skills/modalities on their patient populations and/or colleagues.
Evaluates the quality of educational programs provided by the Lerner program and the impact on nurses and patients (design, knowledge, skill, and practice)
Study the longitudinal impact on factors associated with Self- Care/well-being of Nurses and other practitioners and the impact on patient outcomes.
Seeks extramural funding opportunities to support research activities.
Facilitates development and initiation of clinical protocols and research initiatives.
Evaluates evidence-based practice programs and research endeavors on a periodic basis.
Conducts collaborative research projects consistent with Lerner Health Promotion, Integrative Health, and Nursing Well-being as well as the institutional priorities and available resources.
Designs selected evaluation of the structure, process, and outcome standards in conjunction with Lerner leadership.
Utilizes resources to meet individual learning needs and promote development in clinical practice.
Demonstrates awareness of resources and seeks out experts in nursing and other disciplines to promote learning and development in evidence-based practice.
Shares knowledge and participates in peer education activities.
Engages in self-assessment and participates in activities to promote own professional growth and development.
Assesses and recognizes personal learning needs to enhance performance
Learns and uses new information, skills, and knowledge in an effort to improve care and services.
Acquires and maintains current knowledge and competence to fulfill responsibilities.
Conducts activities in a fiscally sound and effective manner.
Supports organizational and regulatory compliance policies and standards regarding the practice of research.
Role models service standards in actions and communications with patients, families, staff, and other disciplines.
Functions as a respectful leader of the health care team.
Functions in a collaborative manner with the Lerner Program leadership, in areas of research, program development, and patient, student and staff engagement.
Serves as an expert and advocate for the protection of human subjects.
Establishes collaborative relationships with nursing staff, leadership, medical staff, and other administrative staff throughout the medical center.
Facilitates ongoing growth of the nursing research program in the area of integrative health, health promotion, and nursing wellbeing.
Provides support to design processes that facilitate age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and ethical care for patients.
Submits manuscripts to scholarly peer-reviewed journals and present findings of research locally, regionally and nationally.
Support the development of Donor reports and participate in Donor meetings and stewardship.
Mentors staff at all levels on the research process and other Lerner Health Promotion scholarly activities.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $107,500 - $154,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
