    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a PEOPLESOFT TECHNO/FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIST. In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for the translation of complex problems to technical solutions via planning, analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of customization within the PeopleSoft HCM System. Provide technical expertise for the staging and maintenance of data structures used for mission-critical HR Dashboard reporting. Assisting with technical troubleshooting of Manager Self Service related transactions. Additional responsibilities include monitoring of system configurations as well as development of automated data upload routines to back end tables. Responsible for rapid development of data extracts using SQL/SQR/App Engine to service Human Resources.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide timely intake, workarounds and resolution of cases in Salesforce. Maintains documentation on cases related to findings, actions, and outcomes. Educates end-users on the functionality of the various flows of data in the systems and provides them instruction on how to troubleshoot common issues. Monitors and proactively manages fixes to identify problems before users are affected.
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Ensures the documentation of programs, systems, and training guides is complete and accurate. Coordinates and sets-up necessary training with users in a one-on-one or group setting. Develops accurate and concise report specification documents. Explains the purpose, major functions, and process of data requests and/or projects clearly and thoroughly. Provides timely technical support to customers and clients
    • Provides support and maintenance of employment verification software the Work Number. Identifies and develops new systems functionality in the Work Number with focus on earn code changes as well as employee population changes. Performs extensive testing within each development phase. Assists with troubleshooting system issues promptly
    • Gathers data and requirements for HR Analytics by working with the Medical Center IT team to obtain database views to facilitate the production of a monthly HR Analytics & Reporting Scorecard
    • Collects and interprets statistical data on the progress and success of HR projects
    • Creates pivot tables, formulas, graphs, charts, and multi-logic formulas and statements using MS Excel and Tableau
    • Ensures optimization of new system functionality with User Acceptance Testing, post-go-live support, and tracking of bug fixes during the User Acceptance Testing or post-go-live weeks
    • Performs effective imports of large volumes of data through bulk uploads using standard templates. Is responsible to administer institutional-wide salary increases, position and job opening creation, jobcode updates, and department updates
    • Key technical member of HRIT team. Responsible for maintenance of different configuration setups in PeopleSoft HCM, OpenHire, RedCarpet and Salesforce
    • Assists with security role assignments in PeopleSoft HCM, Salesforce, OpenHire, and RedCarpet. Follows strict procedures to document role changes in preparation for security audits
    • Leads projects to improve current processes through technical intervention that includes business requirement documentation, technical future state design, user acceptance testing, and change management
    • Communicates effectively and works well in a team-oriented environment. Participates in mentoring and knowledge sharing sessions within the team
    • Act as a subject matter expert related to data staged for HR Dashboards containing historical or operational data points. Also, provides technical expertise to new data requests related to HR metrics, dashboards or reports
    • Educates stakeholders within and outside of HR regarding people data and protects the privacy of sensitive data while maintaining data integrity to enable accurate and efficient business processes as well as data-driven decision-making
    • Meets with stakeholders to understand and document business requirements promptly with accuracy. Participates in the technical design and coding of interfaces, data staging views, customized reports, and dashboards using SQL, SQR, Application Engine, and Tableau. Develops comprehensive training guides and/or user manuals.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree with a minimum of three years related experience in applications development, data analysis, and reporting or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Demonstrated knowledge of relational database design, project cycle applications development, authoring of functional specification documents, data analysis, reporting, and desktop support. Advanced knowledge of PeopleSoft V9.2/PeopleTools 8.55 utilizing Application Designer and proficiency with SQL/SQR programming, Application Engine, Component Interface, FileLayouts, and PeopleCode in Oracle SQL 12 database. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including MS Access and Excel. Ability to work in a customer-focused, team-oriented environment. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Component processing with workflow, Integration Broker, Tree manager, Tableau
