    The Surgi-Center of Central VA, located in the vibrant city of Fredericksburg, is a premier ambulatory surgery center dedicated to providing top-quality surgical care to our community. We are currently seeking an experienced OR Manager to join our leadership team and help maintain our commitment to excellence.

    Job Description:

    As the OR Manager at the Surgi-Center of Central VA, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our Operating Room. Your expertise, leadership, and dedication will ensure the highest level of patient care and the smooth functioning of our surgical services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Operating Room, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
    • Supervise and mentor OR staff, ensuring their ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices.
    • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to guarantee optimal patient outcomes.
    • Oversees surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing services. Assists as RN Circulator and Scrub Tech as necessary.
    • Oversee surgical equipment and supply management, including inventory and procurement.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, infection control protocols, and safety procedures.
    • Continuously monitor and evaluate OR processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
    • Identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers.

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
    • Current RN license in the state of Virginia is required.
    • CNOR certification preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in perioperative nursing,which includes pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, with 1-2 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
    • Knowledge of surgical and anesthesia procedures, surgical equipment, and operating room protocols.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

    USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date.
