    BASIC FUNCTION

    In accordance with enterprise and local strategic priorities, the Business Development Manager will establish and foster outreach efforts with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, practice managers, schedulers and local providers to support the growth and development of the Tenet/USPI outpatient imaging service line in Fountain Valley, CA.

    REPORTING POSITIONS AND THEIR BASIC FUNCTIONS

    1. Primarily reports to the Director of Business Development at Fountain Valley Hospital with a secondary reporting relationship to Administrator at Newhope Imaging Center

    2. Collaborates with a variety of stakeholders on a daily basis and receives ongoing guidance from the imaging center Administrator, Regional Vice President, and CSO

    3. Engages with Market President, Regional Vice President, Administrators and other members of the Business Development team to earn more business from physician partners/utilizers to maximize their use of the facility

    4. As authorized by the Administrator, responsibilities may be delegated or inherent to the role of Business Development Manager to serve as a secondary manager in providing oversight and guidance of predefined clinical needs and strategic initiatives relating to/overlapping with Patient Services

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Responsible for planning and conducting in-person visits, predominantly focused on key stakeholders across community-based physician groups and/or non-Tenet facilities throughout the defined market service area, in an effort to increase imaging market share

    • Evaluate and interpret current physician referral patterns and trends for market facilities’ service lines, ensuring understanding of market dynamics

    • Research providers to understand the decision making behind imaging provider selection to inform provider engagement

    • Conduct face-to-face sales meetings with clients ensuring through understanding of the service line attributes, processes and outcomes to consumers

    • Complete follow-up meetings to ensure internal and external obstacles to growth and retention are identified and minimized

    • Communicate feedback from clients and partner with the appropriate market resources to resolve issues to better serve our patients and provider partners

    • Prepare and present sales reports, identifying trends, lessons learned, opportunities and areas for improvement to achieve market goals

    • Continuously modify and execute business development tactics to ensure optimal business outcomes, based on feedback from clients and facility leaders

    • Maintain latest knowledge of the competitor and provider landscape

    • Document all client engagement in a timely manner on a daily basis in the defined CRM tool, including outcomes and required follow-up

    • Support the implementation of key initiatives that require relevant network development, as directed by the CSO, RVP and facility administrator

    • Perform all duties with consistently high ethical standards and strict adherence to company policies and procedures

    • Use, update and enter data into a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software application

    • Could be asked to cover more than one facility, depending on geography and number of utilizing physicians per facility

    • Present findings and potential solutions to key leaders in the organization

    • Utilize weekly reports to assist in viewing recent utilization, establish trends, and assess what additional opportunity exists

    • Other duties as assigned

    • Work with market leadership to identify and establish new business relationships with physicians and their office staff to utilize our outstanding Imaging service delivery within the area. These physicians and offices are identified as medical professionals who share the same ethical business philosophies, values and have a good reputation in the community.

    • Gather facts and identify potential medical staff candidates that could expand their services to the community by utilizing a USPI facility

    • Responsible for increasing access and earning market share from all current facility relationships

    • Establishes and maintains long-term physician office staff relationships

    • Regularly visits physician offices to meet with physician and his/her staff in order to assess needs

    • Establish strong relationships with leading physicians and/or groups within the market as well as strong relationships with existing USPI physician partners

    • Leading aspects of new physician recruitment in conjunction with physician partners and other key members of the management team

    • Comply with all Employee code of ethics, job description, compliance, HIPAA, and all other job requirements.

    Wage range: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually

    Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.

    1. Outpatient radiology experience highly desired
    2. Minimum 3 (three) years of experience in a clinical setting
    3. Minimum 2 (two) years of experience in clinical sales and/or clinical operations
    4. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills with exceptional professional work ethics
    5. Demonstrated ability to function as a team player and strong member of a highly motivated and integrated operations management team
    6. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
    7. Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills
    8. Self-discipline and motivation
