POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Research Intern. Smoking rates remain disproportionately high among Chinese immigrants, particularly for men. This is largely due to the low intention to quit and low utilization of available smoking cessation treatment services among Chinese immigrant smokers. Mobile health interventions for smoking cessation have shown to be effective in increasing quit rates and treatment engagement. We are conducting two research studies to develop and examine feasibility and preliminary effectiveness of culturally and linguistically appropriate WeChat-based smoking cessation intervention among Chinese immigrant smokers in New York City.
