    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Assistant Manager - Electrical Systems.

    In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for the management of electrical construction projects. Manage resources and supervises Construction Managers, General Contractors, and in-house electrical staff. Ensures that all electrical projects are completed within approved schedules and budgets; meets quality standards set by drawings and specifications. Regularly reports and assists the Manager of Electrical Systems the status of all financial components of projects and reconciles budgets.

    Job Responsibilities:

    * Electric Shop Operations: Assists Manager of Electrical Systems in daily operations, on-the-job training of staff, and various other duties.
    * Performs other duties as assigned.
    * Reports and Documentations: Responsible for dissemination of project electric related data to the Manager of Electrical System and other appropriate facilities management team members.
    * Operation Management: Manage all electrically related resources assigned to the construction program, assign electrical project work, and track its execution in compliance with electrical codes, regulations, safety standards, drawings and specifications, budgets and schedules.
    * Project Commissioning: Certifies building electrical systems performance before accepting the turnover of construction and equipment from contractors.
    * Quality Control: Inspects quality of electrical work on an ongoing basis. Initiates changes in methods and means as required.
    * Electric Systems Oversight: Ensures completion of all electrical construction project support and maintenance is on time and on budget.
    * Project Design/Management: Contributes to the electrical design phase of major construction projects. Develops projects schedule to conform to medical center procedures.
    * Electrical; Shutdowns, Access, and Protection: Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards, revise and establish standard operation procedures, and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
    

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or a Master Electricians license with equivalent work experience in field of Facilities Management is required
    • 10 years experience in Facilities Management within a university or healthcare environment, or private construction practice.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master Electricians license
    • Must have expertise with contracts for public facilities in all building electrical systems, project/capital management, financial systems and labor relations.
    • Extensive Knowledge of electrical systems, electrical codes, engineering design, operations, maintenance and project planning is essential.
    • Must be able to function in stressful situations and respond to emergency conditions.
    • Superior analytical and communications skills required.
    • Good Knowledge of building codes and regulatory affairs is essential.

    Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $135,541.73 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
