    Position Summary:

     

    Leads a team of IT staff supervising professionals supporting assigned projects. Participates in and/or oversees staff

    responsible for the gathering business requirements, design solutions, configuration, development, customization, and

    support of technical solutions. Provide direction and mentor staff, review their work and do the development work to help

    the team complete the projects. Understands the work processes of business areas and oversees the collection of user

    requirements, creation of detailed requirement/design/support documentation and the translation of them into wellengineered,

    tested and deployed business application systems.

    Job Responsibilities:

    · Adds value to the organization through the direct management of IT resources by directing and managing staff,

    leadership reporting, establishing and ensuring the attainment of objectives and service levels for the work

    unit/project team. Manages team in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard

    development practices

    · Meets project deadlines, commits to deliverables following required IT policies and methodologies for projects,

    and good communication around issues and risks associated with requirements and project deadlines.

    · Make sure all the MCIT architectural, security, testing, documentation, change migration policies/standards

    and all the team members follow coding best practices.

    · Make sure production issues, services requests, incidents are prioritized and addressed in a timely basis. Work

    with team to make sure all team members are supporting these tasks by establishing the support/on-call

    calendar etc

    · Apply functional and technical knowledge to implement changes to any of the modules with the least amount of

    customization via configuration changes or bolt-ons where possible.

    · Provides support in reviewing and applying upgrades, patches and fixes, troubleshooting problems,

    coordinating problem solving, researching potential processing issues, testing and implementing data

    manipulation/correction scripts.

    · Perform hands-on development work to help the team complete the projects

    · Participates in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing,

    maintaining and/or supporting applications.

    · Make sure detailed functional and technical documentation of all enhancements, configuration changes, bug

    fixes are created and maintained.

    · Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements

    that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.

    · Work with project managers, department leadership and business users to help come up with project effort

    estimates, testing approach, timelines.

    · Make sure all production migrations including production bug fixes have required functional/technical

    documentation, test scripts and are thoroughly tested and approved by business.

    · Provide regular reports to department leadership to provide visibility into requirements surfaced from business,

    risks of current projects, recommendations of Solutions and staff needs and issues.

    · Learn new technologies and business process to be able to innovate and support applications as required by

    the business needs.

    · Mentor and guide team members to upskill to expand their knowledge, develop new skills or improve their

    existing skills, prioritize project tasks.

    Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:

    Provide performance feedback to project team members. Coach, mentor and lead project team members, educating each

    in the methodology being used and their role in achieving success. Identify and quantify scope and impact of business

    changes on systems. Solutions Architect - Ensure alignment of solutions with business and IT goals/objectives. Assists

    with Troubleshooting and debugging of applications: Clearly identify root causes of production level

    architecture/application issues and make practical suggestions with technical reasoning. Responsible for Outage

    responses, escalations and root cause analysis. Collaborate effectively with business users, other MCIT teams, on-site

    and remote team members.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Requires 7 or more years of experience and BA/BS degree or equivalent in information systems, computer science, or

    related field. Highly motivated, flexible, adapt quickly and enjoy a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.

    Demonstrated proficiency in PeopleSoft development - systems design, documenattion, development, testing,

    deployment and support of PeopleSoft v9.2 HCM application (Core HR, Base Benefits, Ben Admin, NA Payroll. MSS,

    ESS, TAM) PeopleSoft Development Tools: People Tools 8.55 or higher, Application designer, Application Engine ,

    PeopleCode, Application Packages, Fluid pages, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Integration Broker, Data Mover,

    Component Interface, File Layouts, Event Mapping, Work Centers, Navigation Collections, Pagelets. SQL Development

    tools like Toad, SQL Developer. Experience developing integrations using XML Soap, REST API web services. Reporting

    Tools SQR, PSQuery, XML Publisher, Pivot Grids. Must have experience using standard IT methodologies, performed

    business analysis, detailed functional and technical documentation. Production Support experience for PeopleSoft

    Applications. Ability to inspire, motivate and support the team to get things done. Ability to communicate concepts and

    ideas to analyst, developers in the team, business customers, department leadership. Experience driving projects to

    success and timely delivery.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience Using Integration ESB tools like MuleSoft is a plus. Integrating with Could applications using REST API, XML

    SOAP etc is a plus. Experience using Jira, Confluence is a plus.
