POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Assistant - Anesthesiology,PeriopCare+PainMed. In this role, the successful candidate will be registering and scheduling patients, scheduling procedures and tests, answering phones, obtaining and documenting insurance pre-authorizations and pre-certifications and facilitating physician and patient administrative needs. Assists Fellowship Coordinator with fellowship program support. Assists Office Manager with a variety of projects including scheduling, data collection and maintenance, and special projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

PAIN FELLOWSHIP SUPPORT:
Reviews at-home call logs and moonlighting to ensure compliance Duty Hour (monthly)
Maintains fellows vacation logs, conference attendance and lecture attendance (daily)
Updates lecture schedule on New Innovations (daily)
Scans and maintains the following documents for Fellows portfolios (triennial September-October, December-January, May-June): Self-Evaluation Peer Evaluation Evaluation by Patient Evaluation by Resident Evaluation by NP Case Logs Scholarly Activities I-Stop Log Learning Plan Transition of Care Mentor-Mentee Assignments
Types and mails letters of recommendation from Program Director. (as needed)
Faxes and emails verifications completed by Program Director. (as needed)
Program Evaluation Committee Meeting (biannual January, June)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a High School Diploma is required. Minimum of 1 year related experience in an office setting or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Effective Oral, written communication and interpersonal skills. Computer Skills Working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power point and Access. Ability to develop basic formulae for spreadsheets; set up routine computer procedures; Ability to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software. Ability to proofread documents and write clear, concise 1st draft. Ability to type at a speed of at least 45 net words per minutes. Knowledge of standard office practices. Ability to multi-task while paying attention to details. Ability to use standard office equipment such as copy machines, multi-line telephones, fax machines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree with 3 years administrative and office support experience.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $42,100.00 - $48,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
