    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Director, Program Measurement & Business Operations (Communications and Marketing).

    In this role, the successful candidate NYU Langone Hospital (NYULH) is seeking a strategic, results-oriented, and entrepreneurial Program Measurement & Business Operations leader to shape our Communications & Marketing (C&M) Department. This high visibility role will bring a new level of analytical rigor to the entire C&M department. You will streamline operations, create efficiencies, and drive business outcomes, all while keeping a constant focus on the development and experience of everyone on the C&M team. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of C&M, you will be an ELT-1 leader overseeing the C&M platform, ensuring that all C&M department efforts are integrated, implemented, and analyzed with rigor and consistency.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Team Effectiveness and Outcomes Measurement

      * Develop and implement a holistic C&M program measurement strategy aligned with institutional objectives
      * Collaborate with leadership to establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide actionable insights and support a culture of data driven decision-making 
      * Uncover new ways to measure the impact of C&M efforts on business growth objectives 
      * Act as a virtual check and balance within the C&M team by promoting a laser focus on effectiveness and results 
    

    Collaboration and Influence

      * Serve as a partner and trusted advisor to the Executive Vice President of C&M 
      * Enable collaboration across the highly matrixed C&M teams and drive rigor and consistency 
      * Build a departmental focus on and commitment to outcomes measurement 
      * Contribute to the development and management of the overall C&M departmental strategy 
    

    Analytics and Insights

      * Oversee the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive measurement frameworks and dashboards to assess program effectiveness, operational efficiency, and business performance 
      * Lead data analysis initiatives to extract meaningful insights from large and complex datasets to identify trends and areas of improvement; translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations 
      * Communicate key findings, progress against goals, performance trends, and recommendations to the C&M leadership team 
    

    Process Efficiency and Standardization

      * Lead the analysis of C&M’s current state processes; identify areas where there are inefficiencies and collaborate to design optimized solutions 
      * Implement new approaches and track progress 
      * Manage process quality control efforts across the department 
    

    Budget Planning

      * Lead the department-wide annual budget planning effort by collaborating with leaders to gather financial data, analyze trends, and forecast future expenditures; ensure alignment with C&M goals and objectives 
      * Bring cost benefit analyses and insights to make strategic choices surrounding C&M investments 
      * Measure the return on investment for major initiatives 
    

    Professional Development

      * Design a department-wide approach for training and professional development 
      * Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure career progression opportunities across the C&M department 
      * Listen to and synthesize employee feedback and develop recommendations to incorporate learnings into the C&M ways of work and culture 
      * Maintain a focus on continuously improving the C&M experience and culture 
    

    People Management

    * Lead the team to work in an integrated way to deliver high-impact, strategic work 
    * Contribute development opportunities for direct reports and the broader institution 
    * Create and articulate a vision for the team to ensure they understand their role in the overall strategy of the department 
    * Direct the approach of how work gets done, set priorities, and ensure standards are adopted 
    * Champion a continuous improvement culture and ensure deployment of scalable, simplified, and standardized processes 
    * Manage agency and contractor relationships (as needed) 
    

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree required
    10-15+ years of experience in business operations
    Entrepreneurial mindset and proven ability to build teams and execute comprehensive strategies in alignment with institutional goals
    Experience in financial analysis and data & analytics
    Analytical, strategic mindset focused on developing new ways to track outcomes and gain efficiencies
    Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence executives
    Experience managing, developing, and mentoring a diverse team

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Health care experience
    Master of Business Administration and / or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
    Management Consulting background
    Six Sigma or other process improvement experience

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $201,393.92 - $287,706.12 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
