    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Network Security Systems Engineer. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for overseeing and managing the design and implementation of network security solutions. The Lead Engineer of Network Security Systems is responsible for providing 2nd and 3rd level support for all network security issues or outages. Ensures the smooth operation of the network infrastructure in order to provide maximum security, performance and availability. Maintains close vendor relationships to support current technology solutions and provide roadmap strategies for all network Security systems.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop security solutions designs using approved Network Security Systems Firewalls, IDS/IPS, NBA, Privileged Access.
    • Provide daily operational and implementation support for all Network Security Systems.
    • Capacity planning of network Security System resources to support the continuous growth of the medical center.
    • Secure external facing web applications utilizing F5s Application Security Manager protecting the Medial Center against layer 7 DDoS, cross-site scripting, SQL injection, session hijacking, forceful browsing, cross-site request forgery, parameter and HPP tampering, cookie manipulation and many other web security threats.
    • Systems Engineering and Management support for all Application Security Development systems including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, load balancers and VPN Gateways.
    • Utilize F5 traffic load balancers in order to provide fast, uninterrupted access to Medical Center applications.
    • Through the use of Network behavior analysis tools, Application Security Development continuously monitors the network for various security threats.
    • Provides strategic support for application security development equipment, configuration services, installation and enhancements to meet the business requirements of the Hospital Center
    • Provides written Root Cause Analysis for system outages

    ADDITIONAL POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, maintain, and monitor extensive Firewall and environments per hospital standards. Implement and support multi-vendor Firewall platforms featuring PaloAlto series Firewalls and Cisco ASA. Maintain and organize reporting information and documentation for Management review Maintain high to detailed levels of documentation as required for all PaloAlto and F5 environments Perform routine maintenance functions for all systems including OS upgrades, hardware fixes, etc Provide second and third level support for all Firewall and F5 systems.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of relevant experience. Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify the cause of an issue and determine a solution. Ability to focus, manage your time and your work, and get things done quickly, efficiently, and completely. Experience and desire to work in a team environment with other engineers.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: At least 7 years working with Network Firewalls / PaloAlto NGFW experience is preferred. Proficiency in the following technology platforms:F5 Access Policy Manager (APM), PaloAlto Firewalls, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Gigamon
