Provides direct patient care in the Pre and Post-operative areas and endoscopy procedure room in a fast-paced endoscopy center. Performs all nursing duties within the department interacting professionally with physicians, anesthesia staff, patients, families, and other team members. This position requires strong organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Clinical Director and/or Administrator, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits, and projects.

Required Skills

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Current Missouri Nursing License
• Current BLS
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and physicians.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to GI procedures
• Ability to care for patients from adult to geriatrics
• Excellent teaching skills

• Will be required to work pre-op, post-op and GI procedure room

Required Experience

Experience/or Education: Associate or Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Shall have two years related experience and /or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Shall have demonstrated computer skills. ASC experience a plus.
