    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Director - Strategic Sourcing - Corporate Services.

    In this role, the successful candidate as the Director Strategic Sourcing - Corporate Services, reporting to the CPO (Chief Procurement Officer) will hold a key leadership role within the Supply Chain Management function. This position will be a transformation partner with Supply Chain leadership to help build a strong sourcing and contracts team to support all the non-clinical spend (except IT) within NYULH. The scope of responsible will be to oversee and optimize all non-clinical spend (except technology spend) totaling $1Billion + annually. The Director will lead a team of 13+ Sourcing Professionals ensuring strategies and processes are in place to drive best in class total value spend, contract negotiations and form strategic partnerships with end user groups.

    Job Responsibilities:

    * Create ongoing value with a world class supply base. Manage a spend of +$1B plus spend (excludes IT spend)
    * Using a data-driven approach, perform advanced analysis, reporting and present to our health system functional leadership in a manner that allows them to make the best decisions for the health system
    * Adept at commercial contracts review and contracts negotiation
    * Manage the contract calendar; pull together functional and supply chain leadership to develop go forward strategies on expiring contracts and opportunities
    * Identify and realize savings targets, standardization initiatives, supplier conversions and other business plan initiatives 
    * Lead cross-functional teams across other business functions and initiatives to drive process and systems improvements within the supply chain as well as key partners (e.g. Accounts Payable, IT, RED+F, Legal)
    * Provide exceptional customer service to the end users; help define strategic planning processes to partner with end users to identify savings opportunities, stay ahead of trends and proactively identify supply risk
    * Create and manage short, mid, and long term goals and objectives for the team; ensure team members know and are accountable to results and understand how their role contributes to the broader performance of NYULH
    * Builds a team with diverse and complementary skills and experiences; seeks varied perspectives
    * Provides timely and meaningful performance feedback to individual team members; understands their aspirations and motivations
    * Set and achieve performance dashboard metrics and goals
    * Lead and support various committees and project initiatives
    * Measure and drive supplier diversity and social responsibility
    

    Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
    Strong leadership skills; strategic mindset and problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize complex data and present it in an easy to understand format
    Ability to collaborate with business units and functional partners, including IT, Finance,HR, Legal; instills a sense of urgency for supporting end users, anticipating needs and taking proactive action to address them
    Has an extensive knowledge base in the non-clinical/indirect spend categories; looks around corners to understand and anticipate how the marketplace or supply base is shifting and what opportunities or risks exists for NYULH
    Innovator mindset and keeps on top of technology trends; able to operationalize technology solutions as part of process improvements
    Demonstrates excellent judgement and critical thinking able to recommend decisions that balance calculated risk with objectives.
    Resilient and remains composed and focused during stressful situations and keeps the team calm and focused on achievement
    Familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risk
    Acts with integrity, transparency, professionalism and models ethical behavior; demonstrates optimism and confidence in the face of challenges

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree in Business or related field, MBA preferred. 8 to 10 years relevant experience with 5 plus years in leadership roles for sourcing or other related supply chain functions. Knowledge of supply chain management principles and concepts in sourcing, contract review, negotiations strategies, procurement and compliance. Strong change management and program management. Proven experience in organizational design, hiring, onboarding, mentoring and cultivating a high performance team. Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to lead amongst senior functional leadership.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    MBA or MS; Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) or other recognized certification

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $213,477.56 - $240,000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
