    POSITION SUMMARY:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Associate.

The Nance lab seeks a curious, independent, and self-motivated Research Associate (technician) to join our team studying the mechanisms of organogenesis during embryonic development. We investigate organ formation in the C. elegans embryo, which allows us to combine gene editing and other genetic tools with live imaging to understand how organs develop in living embryos. Our current projects address how epithelial cells polarize and contribute to organ shape, how biological tubes form within organs, and how interactions between niche cells and germ cells impact the development of the gonad. The Nance lab website (https://nancelab.org) contains additional project details and links to recent publications.

This full-time position is a special “pre-PhD” position under an exempt category that allows motivated researchers to work extra hours as needed.
