    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Payroll Associate-Overpayment.

    In this role, the successful candidate in this position will be primarily be responsible for the calculation and collection of payroll overpayments. This person must have a working knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM and UKG Kronos. This function will also assist with special projects.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Assist with payroll overpayments once identified and update overpayment tracker accordingly
    • Upload spreadsheets and supporting overpayment documentation to PeopleSoft HCM
    • Assist with overpayment metrics and look for opportunities to change or enhance process
    • Ensure all backup and documentation is maintained and updated on the shared payroll drive
    • Identify and recommend any new queries that may be needed and document the requirements
    • Keep Tax Manager and Senior Associate apprised of any issues
    • Coordinate with team members/management on approval of overpayments and issuance of letters timely
    • Resolve / escalate Salesforce cases timely and accurately
    • Assist with special projects as required
    • Process credit card payments through Chase portal and submit receipt of funds through JPOINT
    • Effectively communicate with employees with regards to their overpayment

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a High School graduate with some college courses preferred
    Have the ability to operate a calculator PC copier and fax machine
    Working knowledge of Word and Excel
    2 years of Finance experience preferably in a health care environment

    Preferred Qualifications:
    High school diploma or its equivalency and a minimum of two four (2 4) years of related experience. FPC or CPP certification would be a plus.

    Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $45,541.60 - $57,094.96 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
