    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Director of NYU Langone Academy Programs

    In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for development and oversight of the strategy, design, delivery, and evaluation of all NYU Langone Academy programs, including Learning, Leadership, Organization Effectiveness, and Succession Planning. The Director reports to the Assistant Vice President of the NYU Langone Academy and Workplace Culture & Inclusion.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide strategic oversight and direction for all Academy programs to ensure that they align with
    Academy vision, mission and organizing principles
    • Work with steering council members and other key executives to conduct periodic needs
    assessments and benchmarking to ensure programs reflect evidence-based and industry best
    practice
    • Oversee leadership program design, delivery, and evaluation, and serve as a core faculty and coach
    where needed
    • Provide direction regarding the choice and application of psychological assessment instruments
    including multi-rater/360, personality, behavior style, conflict style, emotional intelligence, etc.
    • Oversee executive and leader coaching program capacity and operations
    • Handle the matching and the successful delivery of executive coaching, and provide executive
    coaching where appropriate
    • Direct organization development and change management program design, delivery, and
    consultation
    • Partner with HR and executive leaders to develop succession planning strategies, and oversee
    Academy consultation, design, and delivery efforts
    • Oversee employee and faculty growth and development programs and services, including learning
    systems operations
    • Oversee the research and development of innovative learning approaches, such as mobile learning,
    micro-learning, simulations, web-based discussion forums, social media, sharing of best practices,
    blogs, etc.
    • Establish strategic partnerships with external and internal sources and vendors, and oversee vendor
    and consultant relationship management
    • Directly supervise four program managers
    • Oversee the recruitment and selection of Academy team members as needed
    Minimum Requirements:
    • At least 5 years’ experience in a mid-level leadership role, managing a team of diverse learning,
    leadership, and OD professionals in a complex organization
    • Successful track record designing and implementing evidence-based experiential learning and
    leadership development programs, and as an OD consultant

    • Master’s degree required in Leadership, Adult Development, Adult Learning, Organization
    Development, Organization Behavior/Psychology or related field
    • Graduate of a robust professional coach certification program. International Coach Federation (ICF)
    credential strongly preferred
    • Experience implementing and operationalizing evidence-based learning and leadership development
    models and frameworks.
    • Strong ability to understand research and integrate into practice
    • Skilled at analyzing data to make strategic decisions, and to determine outcomes of programs,
    including ROI
    • Experience and interest in contributing to the research base, publications, presentations, and
    participation in professional organizations
    • Demonstrated ability to teach, coach and mentor all levels of employees including senior leaders
    • Excellent facilitation, consulting, and interpersonal skills
    • Experience in managing and successfully developing a team of functional experts
    • Experience with learning management systems
    • Demonstrated ability to create internal partnerships with others in formal/informal educational
    roles across a complex organizational system
    • Prior experience working in the healthcare industry, particularly academic medicine, preferred

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $ 201,393.92 - $ 287,706.12 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
