    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pharmacy Manager- Ambulatory Care Pharmacy.

    In this role, the successful candidate Provides direct supervision for NYULH Pharmacy staff and maintain a customer driven environment. Works with Pharmacy leadership to provide oversight of all operational aspects of the medication dispensation, by developing staff schedules, workflows, and assistance as required. Works with NYULH pharmacy leadership to provide a yearly budget. Establishes processes to maintain and oversee pharmacy Budget.

    Job Responsibilities:

    * Demonstrates knowledge of the organization’s Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
    * Supervises the technical/professional activities of staff pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
    * Attend applicable pharmacy/Finance meetings and workshops
    * Demonstrate appropriate communication with pharmacy team, providers and other health care professionals
    * Works with pharmacy leadership to establish a yearly pharmacy budget.
    * Establish and maintain financial processes to support budget
    * Participates in the training of newly hired Pharmacy staff based on departmental training guidelines.
    * Demonstrates proficiency with Hospital Information System and utilizes system to validate programs. 
    * Develops role of Pharmacy support staff (technicians) and staff pharmacists in conducting and expanding Pharmacists clinical role.
    * Evaluates performance, conducts annual performance and competency assessments, determines disciplinary actions and performs other human resource related actions as needed
    * Planning and coordinating workflow for optimal service
    * Implements new programs and departmental policies
    * Establish and maintain metrics to measure programs.
    * Establishes policies and environment to maintain optimal inventory in outpatient pharmacy
    * Compliance with the rules and regulations promulgated by State, Federal and other regulatory agencies.
    * Acts as a liaison between Medical Staff and patients for outpatient pharmacy matters ( financial, regulatory, clinical) 
    * Maintains a NYU site for Pharmacy School students
    * Functions as a preceptor for pharmacy students
    * Establishes guidelines for student participation
    * Involves students in ongoing collaborative programs
    * Provide students with work Transition of care assignments 
    * Grade and elicit feedback from students on programs.
    

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a Pharm.D. from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy or equivalent
    Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of New York
    3 years in retail pharmacy supervisor position or equivalent
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Required Licenses: Pharmacist License-NYS

    Preferred Qualifications:
    5 years experience in pharmacy management
    PG2 Ambulatory residency
    5 years experience in community pharmacy
    5 years experience in Hospital Pharmacy

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $110,479.20 - $164,764.89 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
