    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate (TP).

    The Section for Health Equity at NYU School of Medicines Department of Population Health is looking to hire a per diem research data associate. This position includes finding resources and reviewing literature to help with current and future health equity research initiatives focused on nutrition and food systems.

    Job Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct literature review on vaccinations amongst farmers
    2. Analyze survey quantitative frequencies
    3. Prepare reports on project results and key findings
    4. Conduct scoping review on women’s nutrition over the life course 
    5. Prepare literature reviews for publication 
    6. Attends regular project meetings
    7. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required. 
    

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a Associate's degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in science, public health, health education or a related field.
    2. Strong written skills for public health, nutrition peer-reviewed products.
    3. Effective communication and time management skills, ability to work well on multiple projects.
    4. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
    5. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications and reference manager software.
    6. Experience in manuscript writing and history of publications.
    7. Commitment to health disparities in immigrant and minority communities.
    8. Quantitative evaluation skills with coding and analysis.

    Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $28.15- $32.14 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
