Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Assistant.
In this role, the successful candidate provides support for our Community-engaged Implementation Study of Hypertension Prevention and Navigation in Black Men. Responsible for participant recruitment, baseline and follow up data collection, participant tracking, and assist with intervention delivery. Responsible for protocol compliance and accurate data entry. Assists with study site recruitment and contributes to the maintenance of positive relationship with study sites and study participant. Works collaboratively with PI, research coordinator and other study personnel to follow proper clinical trial processes and share up-to-date information on current issues. The individual will provide support in day-to-day recruitment and follow-up activities.
Job Responsibilities:
* Performs and participates in other job related duties as required.
* Project Support Provides project/program support to a study team in the preparation of project relevant materials that includes but is not limited to: assisting with project and event planning and implementation; managing the logistics of and coordinating content development for meetings, conferences, and other project-related events; assisting with the design, development and dissemination of project products and reports; coordinating proposal development and managing the proposal process; assisting with project data collection activities to maintain and improve the effectiveness of the project.
* Attend regular meetings with recruitment staff, community partners, and stakeholders
* Collect participant information for study enrollment and retention
* Conduct follow-up phone calls with enrolled participants
* Update weekly reports (screening, enrollment, and follow-up of participants)
* Respond to inquiries from community health workers in the field
* Organize and maintain digital participant documents and paperwork
* Work with study staff on special projects and quality control procedures
* Conduct other research study activities, as necessary
* Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma is required. Minimum of 1 year related experience in an office setting or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Effective Oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer Skills Working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power point and Access. Ability to develop basic formulae for spreadsheets; set up routine computer procedures; Ability to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software. Ability to proofread documents and write clear, concise 1st draft.
Ability to type at a speed of at least 45 net words per minutes.
Knowledge of standard office practices.
Ability to multi-task while paying attention to details.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as copy machines, multi-line telephones, fax machines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in a related field with one year of related experience in an office setting is preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $39,601.12 - $49,920.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
