    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Intern.This internship on the Workplace Culture & Inclusion team within Human Resources will have the student support the rollout of creative and visually appealing communications across the organization. This includes the development of infographics, informational one-pagers, PowerPoint presentations, email communications, and basic animations. Through on-the-job experience, the student will gain practical work experience and real-world exposure to the intersection between business, healthcare, and design while working under the guidance and supervision of successful professionals. Participation in various projects and learning experiences will ensure the student becomes acquainted with and learns about various org-wide functions and operations while also building their practical design skills in a business setting.

    Job Responsibilities:

    1. Gain understanding of how strong design can positively impact the effectiveness of internal communications within a diverse organization.

    2. Create a variety of highly effective visual communications that leverage the NYU Langone brand guidelines.

    3. Think creatively to incorporate compelling visual storytelling into otherwise routine looking communications.

    4. Provide the student with a creative, practical, meaningful, and inclusive work experience.

    5. Develop an understanding of the role that culture, employee experience, and inclusion hold within a large organization.

    6. Understand the importance of developing working relationships with colleagues and management staff as a business professional.

    7. Sharpen professional skills, including: communication, problem solving, ability to work cooperatively with others, ethics, professional conduct, accountability, time-management, innovative thinking, and any additional skills a business professional requires.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have:

    1. Strong interest in developing engaging, visually appealing, and informative communications for a variety of internal audiences.

    2. Interpersonal savvy and the capacity to interact professionally with all management and employee levels.

    3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    4. Strong graphic design skills.

    5. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Adobe Premiere Pro).

    6. Experience with animation software like Adobe After Effects and/or willingness to learn basic animation tools like Vyond.

    7. Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Art/Design, Communications, or Business.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Graphics Design major

    Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
