    POSITION SUMMARY:

    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Director-Student Affairs - Education Faculty and Academic Affairs (EFAA). In this role, the successful candidate sets annual goals for the office and is responsible for leading the office to fulfill the departmental goals. Responsible for the overall fiscal and operational management of the Office of Student Affairs. This includes planning and forecasting, managing student relations, staff management, staff development. Acts as a liaison to students and works closely with Student Health Services, Human Resources, Title IX and NYU Campus Safety as well as our other departments on all matters relating to students. Oversight for all programs within Student Affairs, including Global Health Initiative, Violet Society Career Advising Program, Master Scholars Program in Humanistic Medicine, and Free Clinic. Oversees the planning and execution of all academic events.

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Sets annual goals for the office and is responsible for leading the office to fulfill the departmental goals.
    • Oversight for all programs within Student Affairs, including Global Health Initiative, Violet Society Career Advising Program, Master Scholars Program in Humanistic Medicine, and Free Clinic
    • Acts as a liaison to students and works closely with Student Health Services, Human Resources and other departments on all matters relating to students.
    • Responsible for the overall fiscal and operational management of the Office of Student Affairs. This includes planning and forecasting, managing student relations, staff management, staff development.
    • Oversight of Disability Services for medical students in the academic, clinical and residence setting.
    • Oversight of planning and execution of all Academic Events including Graduation, White Coat, Match Day, AOA Dinner, Deans Honors Day
    • Oversight of all medical student Wellness Programming
    • Works closely with NYU Langone's Title IX Office to ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented and followed
    • Works closely with NYU Campus Safety to ensure we are in compliance with the Clery Act and is responsible to complete the annual report for the medical school.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in management. Requires strong judgment and excellent people management skills. Requires strong understanding of budgeting and financial management. Ability to proficiently use MS Office applications. Effective problem solving skills to assist in detecting potential issues and issue resolution. Effective oral and written communication skills

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Master's Degree in Health Administration preferred. Experience managing an office of Student Affairs preferred.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $110,474.00 - $166,402.60 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
