    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager-Revenue Integrity & Technical Accounting.

    In this role, the successful candidate The Manager of Revenue Reporting is primarily responsible for patient service revenue reporting for NYU Langone Hospitals as well as having certain financial reporting and technical accounting responsibilities for NYU Langone Health requiring a specialized knowledge of US GAAP accounting. The patient service revenue reporting role includes; overseeing the monthly tasks required to report and record net patient service revenue in the general ledger, reviewing the monthly patient accounts receivable valuation, providing revenue/collection variance and fluctuation analysis to store fronts and finance leadership, and reviewing and publishing monthly statistical reporting on inpatient and outpatient utilization to the organization. The Manager will also be responsible for developing patient accounts receivable accrual methodologies for complex areas such as medical denials and downgrades, overseeing their execution by staff, and analyzing trends. The Manager will be responsible for day-to-day patient service revenue reporting activities such as; reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, managing alteryx workflows, and performing ad hoc analysis. The Manager will prepare various schedules, analyses, and reports for a variety of stakeholders in the organization such as Budget & Financial Planning, Reimbursements, Decision Support, Managed Care, and Revenue Cycle. The Manager will be the main lead in working with the external auditors on reporting net patient service revenue in the audited financial statements. In addition to revenue reporting, the Manager will assist in a financial reporting capacity for various NYU Langone Health financial reporting deliverables, such as the NYU Langone Hospitals quarterly bond disclosure. The Manager will be responsible for working with acquired hospital accounting teams to integrate any acquired entities patient service revenue into NYU Langone Hospitals. The Manager will report into the Director of Revenue Integrity & Financial Reporting; the position resides within the NYU Langone Health Controllership. The Manager will be responsible for the direct supervision of two Senior Financial Analysts of Revenue Reporting.

    Job Responsibilities:

    * Serve as the main contact for Epic data in the general accounting department.
    * Responsible for routine and special reports created out of Epic Business Objects.
    * Prepare executive-level ad hoc patient service revenue, collection, and inpatient & outpatient utilization analysis as needed in a timely manner.
    * Responsible for day-to-day patient service revenue reporting activities including; reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations, managing alteryx workflows, and performing ad hoc analysis.
    * Oversee and review the patient service revenue reporting tasks during the first several days of the monthly close process including; running reports, preparing analyses, preparing statistics, communicating with site leads, and preparing revenue and statistical segments of the monthly internal financial statements.
    * Oversee and review monthly patient accounts receivable valuation model and analysis.
    * Responsible for supporting workpapers for patient service revenue and patient accounts receivable for the audited financial statements. 
    * Responsible for certain external reporting on inpatient and outpatient utilization and patient service revenue (GNYHA, NSHC, etc.).
    * Manage patient revenue items housed outside of EPIC.
    * Assist in patient service revenue projections, forecasts, budgets, and other special projects.
    * Prepare patient revenue related financial reporting deliverables including, but not limited to, the NYU Langone Hospitals’ quarterly bond disclosure statistics.
    * Developie accrual methodologies for complex patient accounts receivable areas such as medical denials, downgrades, and changes in payor reimbursement.
    * Act as lead on integration of patient service revenue accounting and reporting for acquired hospitals.
    

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance and/or a Masters degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration, or CPA or a minimum of five years of experience with a healthcare organization in revenue reporting.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Preferred Qualifications: A cost accounting background is preferred. Experience with a not-for-profit, healthcare institution and a cost or general accounting background preferred.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $110,000 - $132,648.97 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
