    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Financial Analyst (General Accounting-School of Medicine).

    In this role, the successful candidate in NYU Langone Health is one of the nation's premier academic medical centers and is seeking a senior financial analyst to assist in critical financial activities surrounding the timely and accurate financial reporting and close processes. As a senior financial analyst, you'll be responsible for supporting our financial close process, monthly reconciliations and analyses of financial activities. You will also liaise across the various NYU Langone Health departments on accounting issues to ensure all teams are contributing to the integrity of the monthly financial statements. We're looking for a critical thinker and problem solver to join our accounting team.

    Job Responsibilities:

    * Support the daily operations of the Accounting department as well as the financial statement close process including account reconciliations and analyses
    * Assist with our annual financial statement audit and preparation of the consolidating audited financial statements
    * Ad hoc special projects as needed -
    * Provide analyses to identify issues and understand fluctuations in balances to help maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial reporting
    * Prepare standard and adjusting journal entries, as well as cash flow statements, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets as part of the monthly and quarterly close
    

    Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
    - Certified public accountant
    - Experience coaching and reviewing work;
    - Experience in the not for profit industry

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a - Have a Bachelor's degree in accounting and knowlege of general accepting accounting principles;
    - Have 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably including some public accounting experience;
    - Are proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel; experience with Peoplesoft or similar ERP system is a plus;
    - Are proactive, detail oriented, resourceful and have the ability to problem solve.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Master's Degree MBA. CPA. 3 - 5 years Minimum of 3 years ofHealthcare accounting.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $85,000 - $102,817.85 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
