    POSITION SUMMARY:

    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Project Manager.

    The Research Project Manager will support the Program Director and Principal Investigator in all aspects of the functions of the Clinical Coordinating Center of an NIH funded 85 MM award to NYU to conduct a large-scale international clinical trial and its ancillary studies with a heavy emphasis on Publications. This position will report to the Program Director of the Clinical Coordinating Center and Chair of the ISCHEMIA publications Committee.

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Manage and develop direct reports. Mentor junior level colleagues, as requested by Program Director.
    • Participate in resource prioritization across teams to ensure clinical operations strategic goals and milestones are achieved.
    • Perform as a key contributor to Project or Program documents (e.g. Protocol, Manual of Operations, SOPs, Working Practices, and Training Materials etc.)
    • In collaboration with Program Director oversee conduct of trial. -Identify Project or Program potential problems and/or areas requiring review and/or updating. - Serve as Subject Matter Experts for assigned Projects or Processes such as: Manual of Operations, SOPs, Meetings, etc. - Attend, Lead or Co-lead training meetings/webinars and team meetings as required. - Assist with generating and compiling study progress and financial reports and metrics for wide audience: including NHLBI, Steering Committee, DSMB etc. - Ensure effective Project or Program communications to internal and external stakeholders through meetings, presentations, and other methods.
    • Manage and oversee manuscript process from start to finish: Provide editorial assistance, particularly for investigators for whom English is a second language; Develop, maintain, and update timelines for completion of abstracts and presentations; Circulate drafts of abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations to authors, sponsor, and committee members; Format manuscripts to meet journal specifications; Route/Traffic manuscripts to medical writers, editorial assistants, and or graphic designers as needed; and Submit manuscripts and abstracts by deadline
    • Manage and oversee publication tracking and reporting: Create forms and approval procedures for publication and presentation topic proposals, and create and oversee a database which tracks such proposals; Oversee the tracking of all publication and presentation submissions and acceptances; Process, circulate, and monitor status of topic proposals; Generate reports on publication activity and present to the Publications Committee and study leadership as requested; Communicate with authors, sponsor, and committee members regarding status of projects; Provide reports to committees and NIH regularly or as needed; and Follow up with journals regarding the status of submissions
    • Lead the publication administrative team consisting of Program Assistant (s), Program Coordinator(s), and Program Manager (s). Assist Investigators and Program Director with correspondence to committees and investigators, development of writing groups, and submission of proposals, abstracts and papers to the SDCC and Publication Committee for approval; Participate in Publications Committee calls

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree required. Major in healthcare or sciences preferred with a minimum 5 years experience in a clinical research setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), RedCAP, OneDrive and Wrike. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    A self-starter who has strong project management skills and attention to detail.
