    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor-Psychology. 

    In this role, the successful candidate works under direct supervision of the Hospital Site Director and Director of Psychology. Primary responsibilities are the administrative supervision and oversight of the adult inpatient and pediatric outpatient psychology services (please see Job Responsibilities). Clinical duties will include provision of psychological/neuropsychological assessment and interventions for patients and their families on the inpatient adult and/or outpatient pediatric service depending on training, experience and interest.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for providing ongoing supervision of the Adult and Pediatric Psychology staff and trainees on each service.
    • Ensures a smooth daily operation of the service, and directly monitors the performance of the staff by setting reliable and valid standards of performance (e.g., reviewing productivity, monitoring time allocation for various tasks, number and types of patient contacts) and encourages professional growth.
    • Informs the Site Director of LOH, and Director of Psychology of relevant updates both clinically and operationally.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Doctoral Degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy. D). Current license as a Psychologist in New York State. Five (5) years of progressive clinically relevant experience in rehabilitation psychology. Prior supervisory experience (i.e., supervision of junior staff, students, other disciplines).

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior clinical experience in rehabilitation psychology. Prior experience in working in an inpatient setting. Post doctoral fellowship in related area of rehabilitation psychology.
