    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Director - Head of Cross-Channel Content Strategy.

    In this role, the successful candidate is an accomplished and visionary Head of Cross-Channel Content Strategy (Director) to oversee content strategy for the Content Strategy & Development team within the Communications & Marketing (C&M) department. This position will drive strategy and organization for all content posted on social media, owned digital platforms, and marketing technology (MarTech) in alignment with NYULHs institutional strategy and brand guidelines.
    Reporting directly to the Head of Content Strategy & Development (Senior Director), this high-visibility role will play a significant part in guiding content strategy for the C&M department. The successful applicant will be responsible for establishing the content strategy across platforms and ensuring that all strategies are aligned with NYULHs brand strategy and standards.

    Job Responsibilities:

    * _Cross-Channel Content Strategy:_
    
    * Own and develop an innovative, comprehensive, and integrated cross-channel content strategy that amplifies reach and impact 
    * Establish content strategy for owned assets including Content Hub, social channels, public websites, and digital signage; partner with Digital and Information (MCIT) where there are overlapping areas of responsibility 
    * Deliver executive level reports to the Head of Content Strategy & Development with updates on content strategy and audience engagement metrics
    * Oversee all content campaigns across social media and owned digital platform channels; champion and infuse emerging trends to establish NYULH as a content leader
    * Align content strategy across social media and owned digital platforms for a consistent, unified, and recognizable brand voice
    * Drive brand awareness, engagement, and business growth through various content strategies and initiatives for assigned platforms
    * Ensure a consistent and impactful content experience across all assigned platforms and tools
    * Adjust content strategies for assigned platforms based on emerging trends as appropriate
    *     * _Collaboration and Influence:_
    
    * Establish a master editorial calendar for assigned channels, coordinating with Content Strategy Leads to ensure timely and relevant content updates
    * Partner with the Content & Services Lead (Director) and Production Lead (Director) to ensure content meets user needs and that content strategy and vision is integrated into all production and content projects
    * Oversee development of innovative content strategies that drive towards the Content Strategy & Development team’s objectives in partnership with Content Strategy Leads and Platform Managers; ensure continuity of messaging across all points of the funnel that is reflective of institutional goals and NYULH brand
    
    * Collaborate with Enterprise Marketing Strategy team on audience segmentation and platforms’ users for assigned platforms to customize content strategy to meet user needs and improve the user experience
    * Partner with Performance Insights, Analytics, & Reporting team on reporting needs and the collection of relevant data, key performance indicators, and other metrics; adapt strategies based on outcomes
    * _Team Development and Management:_
    
    * Oversee and support the work of the Content Strategy Leads
    * Guide the team on how work gets done, set priorities, ensure standards of excellence are understood and adhered to
    * Ensure clarity for the vision of the team to help them understand their role in the overall strategy of the institution
    * Manage, support, and inspire a team to maximize communications opportunities
    * _Operational Excellence:_
    
    * Closely track assignments, progress, and associated metrics for the team; share and update those on a master editorial calendar
    * Leverage content engagement tracking tools to measure and define success compared to other institutions in specialty areas
    * Champion NYULH’s strong continuous improvement culture and ensure deployment of scalable, simplified, and standardized processes
    * _Financial Responsibility:_
    
    * Manage the allocated budget and operational forecasts of the Cross-Channel Content Strategy team, working with the Chief of Staff
    

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a 10+ years of experience in content strategy in a highly regulated industry
    5+ years of management experience building and leading effective teams
    Proficiency in digital content platforms, social media, and marketing technology
    Familiarity with content publication best practices and ability to work within brand guidelines
    Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for producing excellent work
    Adept at building rapport and exhibiting strong interpersonal skills, with an established track record of cultivating relationships with executive leadership
    Strong analytical skills, with the ability to apply and communicate data-driven insights
    Analytical mindset guiding decision-making
    Creative instincts and willingness to test-and-learn
    Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated track record of effective stakeholder management
    Exceptional leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to influence, teach, inspire, motivate, and collaborate effectively
    Proven ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment
    Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Masters degree in communications, marketing, or related field
    Previous experience working in the healthcare industry

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $138,098.48 - $184,782.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
