POSITION SUMMARY:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager-Partnerships. AMPATH-Ghana seeks a manager to develop strategic partnerships across the U.S. and globally for the program. Working in collaboration with the AMPATH-Ghana leadership and other key team members, this person will explore, initiate, and foster partnerships to support implementation and sustainability of the program. This individual will also contribute to the development and implementation of a robust sustainability plan, and advance the programs' objectives in collaboration with a growing global network of partners. The ideal candidate for this position will have expertise in partnership cultivation and development, global health, and working with a wide range of stakeholders.
The Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH) is an institutional alliance committed to developing excellence and leadership capacity in care, research, and education. Guided by the principle of `Leading with Care,' the AMPATH Consortium has worked in partnership with Moi University and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital to improve health care delivery, health system strengthening, and population health of western Kenya. AMPATH has developed a strong and potentially replicable system that creates sustainable and long-term change from inside the public sector health system. AMPATH-Ghana, led by the Section for Global Health at NYU Langone Health, will leverage the experience of AMPATH-Kenya, build on the strengths of Ghana's existing healthcare system, and serve as a resource to Ghana's health and education leaders. The goals of AMPATH-Ghana will be to partner with the University for Development Studies, School of Medicine and Health Sciences (UDS-SMHS), Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH), and affiliated institutions to: strengthen and develop sustainable health care services; strengthen and develop human capacity through training and education; advance research to improve the health of low-income populations; and promote and nurture health equity.
