    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst (EPIC HB/HIM). In this role, the successful candidate is the Revenue Cycle Systems (RCS) team provides technical expertise and application level support for various hospital revenue cycle modules across NYULHS. The Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst is a mid-level position under the direction and supervision of a Lead Revenue Cycle Analyst within the RCS team, responsible for understanding revenue cycle operational workflows, regulatory and compliance guidelines and application configuration.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Uses critical and analytical thinking to perform analysis and system configuration to support hospital billing applications.
        • Functions as a liaison between Revenue Cycle Operations (RCO), Information Technology (IT), and 3rd party systems.
        • Works independently but collaboratively with other RCS team members on various projects to meet organizational and departmental goals. 
        • Continues to develop professional skills in the information systems and health care fields through publications, manuals, constructive feedback and applies them to work tasks.
        • Automates processes using available technology solutions and bots.
        • Collaborates with various Medical Center IT teams on integrated system build, testing and project implementations.
        • Possesses intimate knowledge of Revenue Cycle processes to aid in application build for Operational requests.
        • Researches and evaluates alternative system configuration solutions and works with management to implement the best option.
        • Performs other duties as assigned.

                                  

    ADDITIONAL POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Remains calm and objective when facing challenges and setbacks when dealing with daily tasks/projects. Strong understanding of HL7 interfaces, EMRs, HIPAA transactions and security protocols.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree. 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or technology related field. Ability to demonstrate analytical/communication skills, and computer proficiency. Ability to work within deadlines.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in an area such as business, finance, technology or related field. 2-3 years of experience in a hospital revenue cycle operations or healthcare technology related field. Certified in one or more Epic modules, preferably Resolute Hospital Billing/Claims.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $73,770.80 - $98,700.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
