Faculty Group Practice Medical Assistant-Medicine-GIM Division
Job Summary:
Responsible to plan, execute, and evaluate the nursing care given to patients in the Endoscopy nursing role. Provides patient care within the prevailing state standards of practice and according to the policies of the facility. Communicates appropriate information to other team members. Helps maintain equipment, supplies, and general cleanliness of the unit. May have additional responsibilities designated by the manager, which may include but are not limited to providing patient care in other peri-operative departments, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement projects.

Reports to Clinical Administrator or Clinical Director

Pay range: $35.20 - $51.04

Required Skills
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Currently licensed in the state. Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support certification required upon hire. Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position. SGNA certification preferred. Minimum of one-year experience in Outpatient Endoscopy or surgery.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other skills and abilities: General familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to anatomy and surgical procedures for the Gastroenterology Procedure Room.
