    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Systems Programmer I. In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for providing the development, analysis, modification, testing and maintenance for IDEA and IDL programs. Performs work that is technically complex and develops integrated solutions of significant impact. Works under general supervision.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Participates in special projects and performs other related duties as required.
    • Provides the development, analysis, modification, testing and maintenance for IDEA and IDL programs. Diagnoses, isolates and de-bugs software problems and performs problem resolution; monitors system's capacity and performance.
    • Transcribing pulse sequences (spectroscopy) to scanners
    • Developing software post-processing tool to process MR spectroscopy data from item above.
    • Software application design (for item above)
    • Communicating to other members of the research team how 1-3 above work (training)
    • Maintaining group computers (update software and fix hardware issues)

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field (e.g. physics, mathematics or neuroscience) and minimum of two years' systems programming experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must include prior experience (intermediate to advanced level) with C++ computer programming, Siemens IDEA pulse programming and graphic interpreted computer languages (preferably IDL or MatLab). Requires ability to work independently, multi-task and work well under pressure.
