    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Social Worker. The Social Worker will provide clinical service through primarily couples, family, or group therapy to veterans and their families face to face and via telemental health platform. The Social Worker will have training and experience in trauma and Posttraumatic Stress and will be proficient in providing individual, couples, and family therapy. This position is full-time and the treatment will be offered at the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Center.

     

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide direct service including treatment and case management for veterans, service members, and their families. 
    • Conduct clinical intake evaluations on veterans and family members as needed.
    • Provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy to patients face to face and via telemental health platform.
    • Attend weekly MFC clinical, supervision, and administrative meetings
    • Perform other duties as assigned

     

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • To qualify you must have a Masters degree from an accredited school of social work or mental health and licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) as required by New York State.
    • Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families is required. 
    • Knowledge in DSM-IV/DSM-5 diagnoses is required.
    • Experience in PTSD diagnosis and treatment is required.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Must be highly organized and detail oriented.

     

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with veterans and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy is preferred.
