Resurgens Surgical Center is looking for a motivated performer to join our Business Office team as a Business Office Assistant, We are looking for a top performer with an extensive knowledge of Front Desk, Insurance Verification collections and all Business Office Processes. This is a fast paced environment committed to producing the highest quality work for our surgery center. An ideal candidate will be personable and courteous.

JOB SUMMARY: Interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, identify nature of business and call.
• Performs clerical duties including distribution of mail and messages, monitoring office supplies, and maintaining postage meter.
• Assist with chart preparation.
• Assists with filing and other clerical duties.
• As assigned, assist with opening of the front desk.
• On assigned days assist in follow up for the Collections Specialist
• Enter Correspondence information as assigned by the Business Office Manager
• Backup Insurance verification and calculations, explaining and documenting patient benefit information.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Assigned by Business Office Manager.

Participate in USPI EDGE program.
