    POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr Financial Analyst. In this role, the successful candidate will assist the director of finance in recording, analyzing and reporting financial information that is accurate, timely and relevant for senior management to utilize in identifying and managing their strategic objectives.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain the Cancer Center's accounting records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
    • Ensure financial reports are accurate, timely and relevant to management for decision making purposes.
    • Assists in the management and preparation of the annual operating budget. Works with department managers in developing their budget objectives.
    • Prepares various budget analyses including key performance indicators and performance indicators and performance measurements utilizing volume statistics. Responds to financial analysis requests of senior management in a timely fashion and prepares ad hoc financial analysis/reports as necessary.
    • Interprets monthly financial results (actual vs. budget analysis) identifying trends as well as opportunities and risks. Works with managers to ensure that costs are accurately charged to appropriate areas so that information is properly reflected in monthly financial and responsibility statements. Investigates variances and makes appropriate accruals/corrective entries as necessary.
    • Prepare financial reports that provide accurate and timely financial information. Prepares detailed information to Cancer Center managers and administration on a weekly, biweekly and monthly basis through various reporting mechanisms. Manages all aspects of the month end close process for the Cancer Center.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and 3-5 years experience in accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis, preferably in a healthcare setting.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: CPA preferred
