    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Runner - Temp/Cancer Center Pharmacy/Midwood, Brooklyn.

    In this role, the successful candidate will provide safe, efficient and customer friendly transports for patients. Transports will be performed viabed, stretcher, or wheelchair to all areas within the Medical Center

    Job Responsibilities:

    * Transports patients using excellent customer service skills. Communicates to the patient re:destination, needs for blankets, bumps going on and off the elevator, elevator delays, etc.
    * Perform other duties as assigned.
    * During transport: appropriately performs SSSI(equipment) anddouble identification.
    * Documents all patient transport data via the transporter log sheet.This includes checking off dbl ID,Ticket to Ride, andSSSI.
    * During low volume, checks the system periodically to see if calls are pending. Does not reject jobs, uses delay flags as required and completes the job at destination.
    * Wear assigned patient transport uniform in a neat and presentable fashion. ID card is above the waist and clearly visible at all times.
    

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must be able to speak, read, understand, and follow simple directions in English. Some motor dexterity is required. Good interpersonal skills are necessary.Excellent customer service skills

    Preferred Qualifications:
    High School Diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field

    Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $42,120.54 - $46,409.19 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
