PD-Research Nurse
USPI TOMS RIVER SURGERY CENTER, is seeking a motivated Collections Specialist - Full Time to join our team. Toms River Surgery Center is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
Collection calls and follow up to insurance companies to ensure claims received and processed in a timely manner. Insurance audits. Identify trends with payers and coordinates escalation to managed care team. Understanding of eobs and denials from payers to properly follow up with payers. Attends Bo meetings, center staff meetings and participates on any committees when requested. Meets weekly with B.O. Manager to review AR. Back up for mail. Back up to front desk and other areas in the office. Identifies trends and issues preventing timely payment with insurance companies and reports to B.O. Manager

Detail oriented, experienced collector. Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening. Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of situations. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Knowledge of insurance companies, explanation of benefits, denials.
